Halton Libraries: Myth? Vivid imagination? Or fact? There have been big cat sightings in the British Isles for almost a hundred years.

You have probably heard of the Beast of Bodmin but have you heard of the legendary big cat of Halton?

Recent reports of big cat sightings locally have brought this ongoing mystery back into the headlines again.

The event on Thursday 29 April, which starts at 5.30pm at Halton Lea Library , will examine the history of big cats in the UK; present theories as to why they are here and then look at the history of big cat sightings in Halton up to the latest one a couple of weeks ago.
